Copiers and Followers Update – WEEK 15 (April 08th to April 14th)

Good afternoon,

The portfolio increased for the fifth consecutive week, growing +0.84% in the week.

(Seeking Alpha) The stock market ended the week on a high note after strong reports from big banks kicked off the earnings season on the right foot. The Dow Jones $DIA $DJ30 received a big boost from $DIS , which surged to its biggest single-day advance in nearly a decade after it unveiled its much-awaited streaming service Across the market, optimism about the economic environment from $JPM CEO Jamie Dimon and a rebound in Chinese exports for March also helped lift investor sentiment. For the week, the S&P500 $SPY $SPX and Nasdaq $QQQ $NSDQ100 both rose +0.5% while the Dow Jones finished down -0.1%. All three benchmarks are within 2% of their all-time highs.

This week was closed the position of $MOH with small profit, was added $PYPL . Stocks that are on my radar and that interest me are $TLT $ORLY $TDG $GOOG $FB $INTU $AAPL $GRMN $ZYNE $ATHM $CMG e $AMD . According to the website validea.com, the trend following signal for Growth and Small Cap Growth Investor has changed from SELL to BUY as of market close on 4/12/2019. It’s a big week for $NFLX , with the streamer expected to post revenue of $4.50B and EPS of $0.57 when it spills Q4 numbers. An even larger focus will be on the expected impact of price increases on Netflix’s bottom line and churn rate, while the new Disney+ streaming service will be a conference call Q&A topic. Disney+ is rolling out with many NFLX-like features, including user profile personalization, content recommendations, parental controls and search capabilities. Energy names are jumping across the board following $CVX $33B cash and stock takeover offer for $APC , seeking to strengthen its position in the shale business where Anadarko is strong.

 

(BARRON’S) The Calendar

First-quarter earnings season is here, with 47 S&P500 constituents releasing results next week. Banks dominate the early reporters, including $GS and $C on Monday, $BAC on Tuesday, and $MS on Wednesday. Tuesday is a busy day: $NFLX , $UNH , $JNJ , $UAL and $IBM all report. Other highlights include results from $PEP on Wednesday and $AXP and industrial bell-weathers $HON and $DHR on Thursday. Economic data out next week includes the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index for ¬April on Tuesday. On Thursday, the Census Bureau reports retail sales data for March and the Conference Board releases its leading economic index for March
