This week, the Santiago1000 portfolio stayed strong, with significant gains in $TSLA (+7.61%), $GE (+6.90%), $PLTR (+6.39%), $ARKW (+6.02%) and $GOOG (+5.74%). Thanks to these results, the portfolio continues to outperform the S&P 500 index by over 50% over the last 12 months.
On a macro level, the week was volatile and marked by greater selectivity after the Federal Reserve (Fed) cut interest rates by 0.25%. News had mixed effects: in the tech sector, $NVDA’s $5 billion investment in $INTC sent Intel shares soaring around +23% in a single day, while $NVDA kept solid gains on AI optimism. In logistics, $FDX beat expectations with strong quarterly results, sending its shares up by around +7%. In contrast, Cracker Barrel ($CBRL) showed weakness as disappointing results sent shares down more than 10%, underlining challenges in the casual dining sector.
These swings highlight the importance of staying focused on long-term fundamentals. While short-term headlines may create volatility, our strategy remains anchored in solid, well-managed companies with resilient business models.
