This news helped us outpace the broader market, with the Nasdaq ( $QQQ) up +3.2%, while the Dow ( $DJIA) dipped -0.5%.
Apple ( $AAPL) made waves at their Worldwide Developers Conference, introducing new AI features and a major boost to Siri with ChatGPT integration. Initially, the market was skeptical, but by Tuesday, $AAPL surged +7.3% as Wall Street praised the updates. Nvidia ( $NVDA) and Hims & Hers Health ( $HIMS) also continued their strong performance, indicating that tech and innovation are still very much in favour.
Despite some mixed signals from the Fed, which held rates steady but hinted at fewer cuts in 2024, the overall sentiment remains positive. Inflation data showed a flat CPI for May, which is a good sign for those of us hoping for a soft landing.
