Portfolio Update – WEEK 17 (April 20th to April 26th)

Good morning,

Hello, how are you all?

Portfolio for the third consecutive week rising, this time surged +0.80%, increased +16.68% in April. A great result for the portfolio this week! In conclusion, the strategy continues to work surpassing the three main Wall Street indices. My wife and I were confined at home for 45 days.

(Seeking Alpha) Stocks wrapped up a negative week on a positive note Friday, as a rally in the tech sector added to optimism from talk of reopening parts of the U.S. economy. Crude oil prices also continued to bounce off giant losses that had spooked investors earlier this week. Apple was one of the day’s biggest gainers on the Dow, as the company and Google announced a beta version of their COVID-19 tracing tool will launch next week. But the major market indexes still finished lower for the week, with the Dow ending -1.9%, the S&P -1.3% and Nasdaq -0.2%.

Here is the detailed weekly income of the positions that make up the portfolio:

No portfolio changes this week.

Stocks/ETFs on my radar and that interest me: TSLA, AMD, MELI, ZM, and ADBE .

The coronavirus has accelerated some dramatic economic shifts, and The Trade Desk (TTD) is a beneficiary. The Trade Desk has managed to create a significant, independent DSP in the growing digital programmatic advertising segment. The company has posted impressive revenue and EBITDA growth numbers over the last few years, and the opportunity ahead remains massive, especially as social distancing will ultimately help accelerate the shift to digital business operations in our new post-pandemic reality. For these reasons, I am bullish on TTD due to a powerful long-term growth opportunity in the post-pandemic digital world.

Shopify rallied this week to all-time high ($665.74) and now claims the highest market cap of a Canadian stock other than the Royal Bank of Canada.

Facebook unveiled this week a group video chat feature. Messenger Rooms will support free video calling for up to 50 people. Regular Messenger video calls are limited to eight people. The new Messenger Rooms feature will ramp up as the 50-person limit won’t be immediately available, but the calls will have no time limit. Zoom by contrast allows up to 100 people to video chat for free, but with a 40-minute time limit. Meanwhile, Facebook will also double WhatsApp’s video call limit to eight people from four people. And it’s adding video calling to Facebook Dating, to enable virtual dates there.

Thanks for reading.

Best regards,
